Late spring was gorgeous, with flowering trees and bushes and clear, sunny skies. The location is beautiful, and there are plenty of trails close by, so I'd love to return and explore more. We stayed in a cute, comfortable cottage and were the only guests, which meant we had a private bathroom. There was a kettle, mini-fridge, and some dishes in the room. Since we were cycling, the host kindly put together a big, tasty, healthy breakfast for us, though it may not always be available. We appreciated it a lot.

Staying in a traditional farmhouse between the lake and forest, with Baltic Sea hiking trails close at hand, really suits the national park setting. The apartments and rooms are sparely, rustically furnished, which gives them just the right feel here. It's not exactly cheap, but the owner is friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. There's also a traditional restaurant across the street with tasty local food. Its opening hours can be a bit hard to figure out.
