The homemade breakfast and dinner were both really good, and there was plenty for us. We stayed five nights and had a great time. It’s a peaceful spot by the river, surrounded by nature, and the sauna was lovely. We could also swim in the river. The hosts were great and helped whenever they could. I saw some reviews complaining about them, but I couldn’t disagree more.

The hosts’ service could use some basic modern hospitality skills. We were told off for not finishing the food served, and they might refuse a coffee or juice refill because they “can’t do all at once.” The riverside setting is excellent, the large garden is well cared for, and the rooms are simple and clean.

You can swim in the river just behind the garden, and the National Park is conveniently close by. The rooms are nice, and the hosts are friendly. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with lots of vegetables from their own garden. Landlady Anna makes sure everyone is happy.

We came with a little child and were shocked by the attitude. Dinner apparently isn’t offered when there aren’t enough customers, and bringing our own food wasn’t allowed. They wouldn’t even accept grapes, saying they would ruin the house. There was no warning about this strange policy beforehand. After a long drive, we had to leave and look for somewhere else that would let us bring fruit. Sorry, we won’t be back.

The room was basic, but had everything you’d need. The owners were very friendly and chatty, and it’s an ideal location for visiting Soomaa National Park. We had a nice stay.
