The place is nicely situated in the middle of the old town, but it felt empty while we were there. We were given the wrong key on arrival, and the fridge and freezer were switched off. There was one shower for three rooms and eight people in total. They said there was Wi-Fi, but there wasn’t any in the rooms.
You can’t get a decent night’s sleep here. The doors in the building are extremely loud, and other guests kept coming and going through the night. The only light in the room is a buzzing industrial neon tube. Casa de Verano Old Town is a terrible hostel for the price. The house smells horrible, and the bathrooms are tiny and dirty. There’s no service or help from the guesthouse at all. It feels like they just want to make cheap money from you.
Right in the middle of the Old Town, and it was clean and inexpensive. Get the larger room, you won't regret it.
We had a brilliant time. There were 12 of us, and although it can apparently sleep 16, it could really use more toilets.
Cheap and comfortable, and a great place to stay. I'd definitely recommend it.
