A quiet place with polite service, and our dog was allowed in the room. The main entrance was confusing to find at first. It was a good deal for a 25 euro bed 😊. Everything was clean and tidy.

Lake Peipus is only a two-minute walk away, with lovely surroundings. The local shop stays open until 8 pm. There’s a kitchen and an outdoor area, and the rooms come in different sizes. Everything was clean and well maintained, access was easy, and breakfast was good.

The outside and entrance may put you off, but the rooms and breakfast area have been renovated nicely, and the breakfast is excellent. The sanitary facilities are still dated. The hostel is in an old school building, and it’s good to see the place being used this way.

A great overnight stop, especially if you want to spend a few days fishing on Lake Peipsi.

Feels a bit like something from the Soviet era.
