The price and quality are a fair match. There's a small gym for a workout, open 08.00-20.00. No breakfast, but Maxima is within walking distance.

I've stayed here several times. The shower drain has been a problem every time, and the room electronics are outdated, especially the TVs. The WiFi is almost good, though it could be a little faster. Still, it's cheap and the staff are friendly. The room is always clean, and the bed linen gets changed.

I was very happy with my stay and the price. The place was very clean, and the man in the office was lovely and helpful. I was surprised to find a stove with all the dishes and cutlery in the kitchen, plus a microwave in the hallway.

Virumaa Hostel looks great and majestic outside, and the inside is just as impressive. It's a decent place, and the cover doesn't lie this time. The beds are comfortable, though a little small for bigger people. The bathroom looks and feels nice, with a decent shower, sink, and toilet. The rooms are tidy and presentable. Now and then, loud music can be a nuisance since the 2nd and 3rd floors, in the British floor system, are used by students. Service is very good and kind, and you'll be helped even if the staff don't speak your mother tongue. The main languages you'll hear are Estonian, Russian, and English. At the main entrance, there's an electronic lock. Each guest gets a keycard to open it when it's usually locked early in the morning or at night. The card also opens the doors at each floor entrance. I'd say it's the best accommodation business in the whole Kohtla-Järve region. If occasional loud music won't bother you too much, go ahead and book.
