The beds are soft, maybe too soft, and the room has a bit of a Soviet feel in its smell. Breakfast runs from 7-10 am, so there’s enough time to eat when it suits you. It’s a five minute walk to the center, close by with plenty of parking. Just be aware that the walk includes a fairly narrow section.

The beds were comfortable, and breakfast was okay, though I would have liked eggs and whole grain toast. The curtains didn’t do much to keep the room dark or cool in the morning, which was an issue in July. The basic room is only a short walk from the center and castle, and you can get there easily by car. There was a slight sewer smell in the toilet. The tiny fridge was handy but made quite a bit of noise, though not enough to ruin my sleep.

The beds and shower were fine, breakfast was good, and the reception staff were friendly. The room was mostly clean, but it wasn’t ready at 2 pm as promised, so we were asked to return around 4. We’d already bought food that really needed refrigerating, and when I asked reception at 2 whether there was a fridge in the room, which we really needed, it wasn’t plugged in. We had to wait another hour and a half for it to get cold. Fine for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer.
