Narva-Jõesuu Spa

The seaside location is good, and the swimming pool was nice, but this was a disappointing stay and I wouldn’t recommend the place. Staff were mostly unfriendly and spoke only Russian, so basic communication and getting help were difficult. When I had trouble booking a bus ticket, reception wouldn’t help, and I missed my bus. The hotel was clean but worn, and our room was hot and stuffy. They didn’t provide a fan even after I asked. The food was heavy, bland, and not fresh, which isn’t what I expected from a wellness retreat. Treatments were overpriced and quite basic, for example, an 80€ massage for 70 min. No one was advised to shower before using the pool, which felt unhygienic. Between the poor service, language barriers, and weak wellness offering, it’s hard to recommend.

The beach is only a few minutes’ walk away, and the hotel has a nice bar and restaurants. The rooms were very nice, the staff super friendly, and the spa treatments were great. The outdoor pool was nice and clean too. I was surprised by how good everything was, and I’ll definitely come back.

The spa has three saunas, one steam bath, an indoor pool, and a heated outdoor pool. The receptionist explained the main facilities and gave us useful information in English. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a selection that reflects how much the place caters to Russian-speaking guests. The room, though, was really outdated, and the bathtub and sink didn’t even have separate taps. Even so, we had a nice stay.

The food was tasty and there was no limit, and the window views were beautiful. From one side you can see the sea, from the other, pine forest. The rooms were pretty clean but not really quiet. The spa is very small: a steam room, an aroma sauna, a Finnish sauna, one jacuzzi, and one swimming pool. For this price, it didn’t feel like enough. The hotel is in the $$/$$$ category.
