The personal attention from the staff really stands out. They’re friendly and helpful, and make each guest feel looked after. Väikesaare Guest House is a lovely choice for a family break, with a gated setting, private saunas, sauna rituals by the Narva River, and, I’d say, some of the best food in the city. We highly recommend it.

After a filling lunch of homemade cabbage soup and fish, we stretched out on the sun loungers. The food was served beautifully, too. We came across Väikesaar by chance today, and it felt quiet and peaceful, almost like stepping into a fairy tale.

The breakfast was incredible, one of the best I’ve ever had, and the hostess makes it herself. We were there for a birthday party, and the river view and swing added to the home-with-a-stove atmosphere. The hostess was kind and ready to help us settle in, explain things, and be there whenever we needed her.

I was surprised to see this small family restaurant taking part in all the city fairs and treating locals to such refined dishes. Väikesaare Grill, inside the guesthouse, has its own recipes and signature cooking. My husband and I stayed in a beautiful spot by the Narva River, with a mini-spa on site, two saunas, and a jacuzzi. We highly recommend it.
