Kangelaste 2 Apartments

A comfortable, pleasant, affordable place that works even for a last-minute trip. Check-in and checkout were convenient, it was quiet, and it had all the essentials for a stay.

We’d stayed here a couple of times in recent years and were usually satisfied. But after our most recent stay, when we gave a rating below 8, the owner claimed we’d been rude to guests and staff. We didn’t even meet any guests or staff during our three days there. Looking at the Booking reviews, it seems like everyone who gives a rating below 8 gets blacklisted. The owner’s behavior feels frivolous and unprofessional.

The price was great, but what we got didn’t match what was promised. The private bathroom turned out to be outside the room and shared. We had to try three different rooms because whoever arranged things hadn’t done their job. The rooms were clean overall, but the workers were really bad and yelled at us when we looked for our room in Russian. They spoke neither English nor Estonian.

I was surprised by how clean the place was overall, and the toilet and shower were okay. The walls are quite thin, so you can hear noisy neighbors. If you just need a cheap place to sleep, this is the right spot.
