Estonia Medical Spa & Hotel

I’m very disappointed by what happened in the spa and hope management addresses it. At 9:15 PM I was in the pool, even though the spa’s stated closing time is 9:30 PM. I had paid to use the service, was there to relax, and hadn’t broken any rules. Instead of calmly letting me know the spa was nearly closing, a staff member named Silja came over shouting and demanding that I leave immediately. There were still 15 minutes until the advertised closing time. If guests are expected to leave by 9:15 PM, then that should be made clear as the closing time. Guests who follow the posted rules shouldn’t be treated disrespectfully. Why should a paying customer who followed the rules have their evening and mood ruined by being shouted at? That kind of behavior is unacceptable and goes against basic customer service and respect. I hope management explains this and takes appropriate action.

The rooms feel a little dated, and breakfast doesn’t offer many choices. Dinner is more like simple home cooking, but it’s tasty. The spa is very spacious, with warm water and air.

We had a lovely, relaxing couple of days and would love to return. The room was clean and the staff friendly. The spa was good, with different saunas and baths; our favourites were the hot Japanese pool and salt sauna. Recommended.

There’s a lot to like, including the friendly staff, good location, a mini shop and cafe in the lobby, and plenty of beauty and health treatments, though I didn’t try any. The room was old but clean and had a TV we didn’t use. The spa was okay, but I wish the water had been warmer. Breakfast was okay too. For the price, it’s a decent place to spend a night or two, but I wouldn’t recommend it. We struggled in the hot weather because the rooms have no air conditioning. There was no mini fridge or kettle either, and no hooks for towels. The bathroom did have soap and a hairdryer. The pillows were uncomfortable.
