Metropol Spa Hotel

The location in Rotermann Quarter was excellent, with restaurants nearby and the cinema, city center, port, and large shops all within walking distance. Breakfast was decent, served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, but we found it hard to get a seat after 9:00 AM, as many other guests seemed to as well. We were satisfied with the spa and the well-done classic massage. The spa wasn't huge, but had what we needed: Finnish, salt, and steam saunas, a small pool, jacuzzi, and bar. We stayed one night on January 17 at Metropol Spa Hotel, on what I think was the 4th floor, apartment room 401. The room was in good condition, though the carpet showed heavy use. The pillows could have been softer, but that's a matter of taste. You can see the view in the photos. Overall the room was good, and we were satisfied and can recommend the hotel.

The saunas are mixed gender, so bring a swimsuit. The locker rooms were clean, and there were four hot tubs, three saunas, a warm pool, a cold shower, and places to sit. You can't bring drinks from outside, though they have a bar with a jug of water. The rooms were big enough by European standards, and the location near the Old Town was perfect, with the modern business district, formerly factories, right outside. One of the best hotels we've stayed in while travelling. Pay extra to stay on the Spa Hotel side.

The spa was very high quality, and when we visited we could use all the facilities throughout our stay without waiting. The staff were phenomenal, approachable, and happy to help with any request. We're only issue was booking a double and getting a twin. Metropol is right by Vanalinn, and an easy walk from the more modern part of Tallinn, including the shopping areas. Thanks for a great stay. I can't recommend Metropol enough, and we'll book again when we travel for business and pleasure next year.

The hotel was comfortable and had everything we needed. Its location was fantastic, with an easy walk to the Old Town and just far enough away that the area didn't feel chaotic. There was lovely coffee and good sandwiches nearby.
