Oldtown Lux Hostel

The staff were very friendly, and the room was nice. It’s right among the tourist attractions, and I think it’s the best you can get for the lowest rent. The toilet facilities need a lot of improvement, though, and the door locks should be replaced.

We were five girls and felt safe. The staff were lovely and made sure we knew they were there if we needed anything. The rooms were really good, with clean sheets, and the location was great. There’s also a bar where you can get drinks at a discount. The kitchen could have been cleaner, and it only had one stove.

The location right next to the old town and the cheap price were the only things I liked. There was no atmosphere, and the staff weren’t very friendly or helpful. It was hard to find the entrance. The place was dirty, lots of things were broken, and the toilet wasn’t fixed to the floor, so it moved around completely. The bathrooms were really dirty and seemed to get little attention from staff. My room was cold and not clean either. They brought an old, very loud heater that didn’t really help. I was charged 2€ for a towel, though other guests told me it should be 1€. The kitchen was dirty too, with just one cheap heating plate that was nearly broken.

I’ve been inside, and it’s a very nice place. The kitchen and main hall were clean. The hall may be small, but they were supposed to open a chill room in a couple of weeks, maybe even sooner. I didn’t go into the bedrooms, so I can’t say anything about them.
