Coming back to the spa until 10pm was especially nice during Tallinn's dark winter days. We booked this spa hostel over the Christmas holidays. The hostel kept holiday hours, but the spa stayed open and even had a DJ playing by the pools one evening. Breakfast each day was enough to get started, and the staff were helpful while we were there.

A handy spot for a tournament, with food and a gym in the same building and a mall and supermarkets nearby. The surrounding part of town is pretty plain.

I picked this hostel because I was going to a concert at the nearby arena. The room was clean, and there's a parking lot for guests. I'd read claims that the parking wasn't safe, but that wasn't my experience. Residential high-rises are all around, and I didn't see anyone suspicious. I felt safe there and really liked the hostel.

The room was good, the bathroom was very good, and the restaurant on site served good food at decent prices. The neighborhood felt less appealing, with Soviet-style buildings all around, and I didn't feel comfortable leaving valuables in my car in the parking area. The place itself had a slightly dystopian feel. The pictures make it look nicer than the area seemed in person.

We came here for an Erasmus+ project, and I don't think this sports hostel was the best fit for our group. It has a basketball court and spa complex, but it's a long way from the city center. The surrounding area isn't especially interesting, with lots of Soviet-style apartment buildings, a few schools, and an artificial lake in the middle of RING.
