The spa staff pushed their services so aggressively that it made the experience stressful instead of relaxing. The water was extremely dirty, which was frightening. My face felt irritated right after I showered, and my hair was noticeably worse. The next day, I tried a shower filter; within minutes, the filter paper had turned completely yellow. After leaving and returning to my hotel in Cairo, everything went back to normal. Dinner was awful, with very little variety. They served whole, unpeeled oranges, which was shocking compared with other 5-star hotels in Egypt, where fruit is prepared properly. The spaghetti was undercooked, and the juice was canned rather than fresh, another letdown compared with other 5-star hotels in Egypt. The staff’s attitude was extremely poor, and they seemed racist. They looked at us unfriendly but smiled warmly at white guests. They were aggressive, too. A cleaning cart hit us, and nobody apologized. While clearing the table, a waiter accidentally knocked a sausage off the plate, onto the customer and then the floor, and didn’t say a word of apology.

It was our first visit to Helnan Dreamland Hotel with the family, and we really enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere and the peace and quiet around the place. The staff were respectful, professional, and always smiling, and did their best to make sure we had what we needed and felt comfortable. The food was excellent in taste and quality. The chef in charge of the open buffet was especially professional and respectful. Thanks to Mr. Hassan, the Hotel General Manager, for keeping standards high. We had a lovely experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant, relaxing destination. We’re looking forward to coming back soon.

Saber kept the room comfortable and perfectly clean, and Ayman at reception was always professional, friendly, and ready to help with a smile. Demiana also took wonderful care of me, making sure I had everything I needed. The whole team made my stay such a pleasant one. I’d happily come back and recommend the hotel.

The clean, quiet rooms had lovely balcony views, and both the buffet breakfast and dinner were really good. The pools and location worked well for Pyramids and Dream Park, though getting to downtown Cairo takes a bit of driving. Dreamland felt relaxing and safe. The repeated requests for tips were a downside, especially after I explained I had no small change. That felt unprofessional for a five-star resort. The bathtub could use more cleaning, but otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Dream Park is right next door, with very loud music going nonstop day and night. It was impossible to relax or sleep. Getting something as simple as a bathrobe or slippers through room service was a real pain, and the food wasn't great. The staff weren't aggressive, but they weren't friendly either. The constant pressure for cash tips was frustrating. Awful experience.
