The sunrise and sunset boat trip on Lake Nasser was a highlight, and the price was very reasonable. We didn't go to the Temple Light Show, but the staff were ready to arrange tickets and transport. They made getting around locally feel effortless, and the tuk-tuk rides to the airport and temple were fun. Don't miss the evening meals. The Nubian food was delicious and high quality, and the Egyptian breakfast was a great start to the day. Mohamed, the owner, works tirelessly to make sure guests have what they need, and the whole staff were friendly and attentive. New Abu Simbel Hotel is a great base for exploring the area, with a personal, local feel and a level of hospitality that's hard to find.

The restaurant was excellent, with tasty choices and a hot breakfast, which isn't always easy to find around here. It's a short drive to the temples, and the hotel is happy to arrange a car or boat. We had a great time at New Abu Simbel Hotel. The staff were excellent and very accommodating, finding solutions for any issue. It's really new too, the floor we stayed on had opened just a month earlier, as of Jan 2026, so everything was comfortable.

We had a fantastic night as a couple at the newly renovated New Abu Simbel Hotel. It was pretty and spotless, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. They arranged light show tickets for a fair price and an early 6am drive to the temples. We also got welcome gifts and souvenirs, plus free drinks and fruit in the fridge. Perfect experience!

Ali was incredible, and the whole staff and family were lovely. We started our Egypt trip in Abu Simbel and were lucky to stay here. The room was clean, breakfast delicious, and our sunset boat ride was amazing. My husband and I definitely recommend the hotel.

The sunrise boat ride on Lake Nassar was beautiful, and it was a special experience that many people miss when they only take a day trip and get a maximum of two hours at the temple. We visited inside the temple after the boat ride. Having done the day trip before, I highly recommend taking your time and staying at New Abu Simbel Hotel. I only wish we'd stayed longer. Hamo and the team made us feel so welcome, like we were visiting our Nubian family's home. They arranged smooth, comfortable private transport to and from Aswan in a nice new car with air conditioning. Once we arrived, they asked what we wanted to do and handled everything, including tickets for that night's sound and light show and a tuk-tuk ride to the temple. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and the restaurant food was delicious. The staff are so warm and lovely. Thank you Hamo, Ali, Ahmed, Mohammed, and the whole team. We had an amazing stay and hope to see you again (inshallah).
