Mövenpick Resort El Sokhna

My family and I had a deeply upsetting stay at Mövenpick El Sokhna, far from the safe, comfortable holiday I expected when I chose it for its reputation. The food was extremely poor and well below the standard expected of Mövenpick. After eating at the hotel, both my children and I had severe stomach problems and became ill, leaving us to spend the vacation dealing with sickness instead of enjoying it. When I asked for the hotel doctor and medical help, I was told no doctor was available. That was alarming and distressing while I was caring for sick children, and the lack of prompt medical support showed a serious failure in guest care and safety. My family went through physical discomfort and emotional distress, and lost the vacation we had planned and paid for in good faith. I request an immediate investigation, a formal explanation of the hotel’s food safety and quality control procedures, and an explanation for why no doctor or adequate medical assistance was available. I also seek appropriate compensation for the illness, distress, inconvenience, and ruined vacation. I expect Mövenpick to take this complaint seriously and respond promptly with a satisfactory resolution. If not, I reserve the right to take it to the relevant consumer protection authorities and pursue any available channels to protect my rights as a guest.

We had a great time at this beautiful resort, and I was impressed by how Chef Mohammed Shaban went out of his way to make us seafood. He was cordial and kind, and it was delicious. Our server Romel was polite and helpful, and the cleaning staff, Mohamed and Ahmed, were awesome. The rooms were modern and clean, and all the staff were friendly and polite. My family and I had a really good experience and would recommend the resort. We’ll be back when visiting. If possible, try to get a ground-floor room.

A good place to take a break, and not far from Cairo. The dinner buffet was great, thanks to all the chefs, especially Chef. Mohamed Sobhy. The staff made our stay enjoyable. They gave us a smooth, pleasant arrival and kept our stay comfortable and clean. I really appreciate their hard work and attention to detail.

We spent a week at Mövenpick Sokhna with 15 family members, and the warm, family feel made the stay special. Ibrahim was especially welcoming and attentive on the beach, while Mahmoud from housekeeping was quick to respond and made sure we were comfortable. Meals were another highlight. Chef Kareem made the best omelettes we had all week, and Chef Iraky's daily pancakes were easy to enjoy in one bite. Chef Mohamed's barbecue added a nice touch, and the buffet reflected Executive Chef Youssef's high standards, with Executive Assistant Chef Mohamed supervising it well. Omar, Ahmed Gaber, and Amr kept breakfast and dinner service pleasant and professional. We felt looked after throughout our visit and would happily come back.
