Retac El Arish

The beach was great and the sea was lovely. We upgraded to a two-room suite for more privacy, though the AC in one room had an issue and the bathroom light there wasn't working. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was good. Cleanliness could use some work, but it was passable. The seawater pool was closed.

The hotel is close to the city center, and the prices are very reasonable. Breakfast was included as a fixed dish. The staff did their best to help us, and the rooms were clean. It was really quiet even in the busiest season. The sea still feels untouched for a city like Arish, and this is the place I'd recommend staying so far. We'll definitely come back.

It was a good stay, and I'd say it's the best hotel in Alarish city. They should improve the housekeeping, though, and add a shower or bathroom beside the pool.

After three nights, this is what stood out to me: some reception staff were rude, and the reception manager wasn't helpful or understanding when confirming the booking. The AC was very poor, or not working at all, in some rooms. They say every room has a sea view, but some look onto a dead pool or have no view at all. The pool that was open had insects and human saliva in it, and its acidity was unbearable. There's also a swimming academy, so children were shouting in the pool at a resort more than 300 km from cairo. That was horrible, especially with the sea full of jelly fish.
