The beach gets crowded because the hotel lets non-guests in for 150 LE. Room service was awful, and the towels in my room were shredded. At breakfast, the chef asked how many eggs I wanted, then said guests were allowed just one when I asked for two. Why ask, then? The staff were unprofessional and spoke rudely. Don’t trust the social media videos, they gave us a completely misleading impression.

Being close to restaurants and shops is a real plus. The room felt a bit odd, with different floor levels.

The beach restaurant, private beach, and quiet spot right on the promenade were real positives. Staff were lovely and helpful, the bed and bedding were comfortable, the room was clean, and the air conditioning was quiet. The roof terrace and clean pools, including the kids’ pool, were nice too. They brought two small bottles of water to the room each day. There was no WiFi at first, but they fixed it when I mentioned it. There’s also a ping-pong table, a diving school, and security at both entrances. Pay close attention to the bill. My room cost 40 EUR for two nights. I had 15 USD and asked reception what I still owed in EGP. The receptionist said 1750 EGP, which he said was equivalent to 35 USD. I paid, then later checked and found I should have paid only 25 USD. So I was charged an extra 10 USD, and I’m sure he kept that money for himself. Breakfast was simple and the choices stayed the same. The fridge built into the wardrobe was noisy and couldn’t be unplugged. There’s a nearby prayer speaker too, so light sleepers shouldn’t expect a good night’s rest.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. I found the bed a little hard, but putting one of the blankets under the sheet made it perfect for me. Breakfast suited my taste. The bars and clubs nearby were noisy, though that isn’t the hotel’s fault. Better-sealing windows and doors might make it easier to bear, and management could improve those. It gets quiet around 3 am, so the noise may not bother people who are out partying.
