Queen Sharm Aqua Park Hotel

The location is very good, close to the beach, about a 30-minute walk to OLD MARKET, and also near Fanar beach. There’s a nice coral reef in the water. The hotel beach area was clean and cosy, with comfortable sunbeds. The beach and pool bar servers were nice, and there was a good choice of soft drinks. The pool bar corner served tasty French fries around midday, before lunch and dinner, which was a very good idea. The place seemed set up for Italian and Russian guests. If you’re from somewhere else and don’t speak Russian or Italian, staff don’t give you much attention. Nobody understood English well enough to answer questions. The animation team spoke Italian and threw in a few Russian phrases, not even a “good evening.” The drinks selection was good, and Egyptian food tasted nice. On “Turkish day,” they served Arabic and Turkish dishes, which was good. Other food was disappointing: dry meat, raw potatoes and a huge pastry selection that was all strange, dry and untasty.

I was there alone in February, kind of solo travelling, and I’d definitely go again, though I left with mixed feelings. The weather was so-so, hot during the day and cold in the evening, so take a jacket. I loved the animation. Thanks to the team for the good time and all the sports classes. I joined every activity, including Zumba, belly dance, stretching and yoga. I’d especially recommend going to clubs with the animation team. I went to four, all had good music and drinks, and I felt really safe. Entry was around $20 including one free drink, usually vodka and Sprite. The pools and beach areas were always clean, but I didn’t swim because it was too cold. I liked the food, mostly Italian dishes, and had no problem with that. The restaurant had tea, coffee, juices, cola and Fanta. A separate bar served espresso, beer and wine for extra money. My room was horrible. It was cold at night, the bathroom was old, and I got only five minutes of hot water in the shower. There was just one socket, also old and yellowed. The room wasn’t a big concern since I only showered and slept there, but it was bad even for that. The service was good overall. My room was always clean, and the reception staff were nice, smiled and helped with questions and problems. One odd rule was that you had to pay for breakfast before checking into your room, I paid $4. I felt safe at the hotel and outside too. Just don’t go through dark corners or strange places. Some men suggested meeting up, but I ignored them or said my boyfriend was waiting for me, and everything was fine.

For the price, it’s a very good choice. The rooms definitely need renovation, but the food was good and had some variety. The pools and aqua park had a nice vibe, though the snacks and drinks were very poor. The location and sea beach are magnificent. It’s rocky, but you can jump straight in to swim from the snorkeling spot. And don’t miss the animation team’s show after dinner.

I’ve enjoyed my first time in Egypt very much, and I’m happy to be here. The animation team was wonderful, and I really enjoyed their shows. I think I’ll come again.❤️❤️
