The food wasn’t great, though I did leave with a full belly. There weren’t always enough plates or seats, and there are lots of steps down to the bay. The BBQ night was the best meal. The hotel is dirty and needs renovation.

Avoid this hotel. I booked it thinking it was a four-star place, but it felt like one star at most. Everything was dirty, from the room and pool to the bar and restaurant, which also smelled bad. The food was awful, the facilities were very old, and the employees were mean and disrespectful. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. If you aren’t married, they won’t let you stay together in one room, and they won’t let anyone else into the room either. Security also harassed people for kissing in shared areas like the pool, bar or restaurant. If they saw a couple, they would come and sit right in front of them. This was the worst experience of my life.

The location is handy, right in the city center with everything close by, and the restaurant and lobby have stunning views of the city and the Naama Bay promenade. The price is low, which is the resort’s main advantage. For an affordable, unpretentious holiday, I’d recommend it. The food is tasty but repetitive, with a very limited choice. Chicken is served daily and sometimes there’s fish, but vegetables are often in short supply apart from cabbage. Queues are common and there may not be enough tables, especially at dinner, so it’s better to arrive right at opening or after most guests have eaten. The rooms have old furniture and appliances, though they still work. One of the two pools is being rebuilt. The other pool is heavily treated with chemicals, and the showers don’t always have water to rinse off afterward. Buses run to Hala beach and Palm beach, but they get so crowded that not everyone can fit, leading to more queues.

The hospitality was awful, with rude interactions and no effort to make guests feel welcome. The staff looked unprofessional, with no dress code or sense of presentation. I was also frustrated to find that the advertised beach is a 20-minute drive away, not within walking distance. The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, nowhere near a reasonable standard. There were no clean sheets or towels, and hygiene clearly wasn’t a priority. The food was terrible, almost unsafe, and I seriously wondered if it was edible. The information advertised didn’t match what we got. I usually don’t write negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing from beginning to end. I’d never recommend it. Avoid at all costs.
