Mostafa drove us out for desert camping in the White and Black Deserts and showed us more than we could have asked for. He made Bedouin tea and did his best to communicate in English and with a translator. He’s a very nice guy, and I’d highly recommend taking him along when you can. Our host was excellent and friendly, organized everything to suit our needs, and even took us to a family dinner that became a memorable experience. The room was excellent, with comfortable beds and linen, towels, and toiletries provided. They also picked us up from and dropped us back at the bus stand in Bawiti. There’s no wifi, but my 4G WE Simcard worked perfectly. The location is a little way from the centre, and it’s a long walk to the nearest shops if you need something, though Mostafa can take you anywhere. We stayed for two nights in Sep 2023.
