Sheraton Montazah Hotel

The night club staff were unfriendly and rude, asking for extra money for a table, and the drinks weren’t up to standard. Whatever you ask for, they want money, and there are a lot of illegal things happening in the club. The hotel staff weren’t friendly either, and their efforts couldn’t make up for the cleanliness problems and disruptive atmosphere. My room wasn’t clean when I arrived, with remnants from previous guests and a bathroom that hadn’t been properly sanitized. The bedding was old and worn, and the uncomfortable mattress made it hard to sleep. I left frustrated and disappointed after expecting a better stay. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a restful experience.

The beds were the most comfortable, and we had free soft drinks and fruit in our spacious, if somewhat dated, room. From the 12th floor, the sea view was amazing, and the Wi-Fi was the fastest we came across in Egypt. My girlfriend and I had an excellent two-night stay at Sheraton Montazah Hotel, with top-notch service, responsive room service, and the high-quality food you’d expect from a big name. A solid choice!

The reception staff were rude when we arrived, and the hotel felt unwelcoming from the start. The rooms we were shown were small and very old, and we didn't enjoy our stay. Sheraton also has no breakfast. For the same price, Rixos resort across the road had friendly, welcoming staff and a wide breakfast selection.

The views are lovely, the location puts you close to everything in Alexandria, and the staff are extremely nice. The hotel itself feels a bit outdated. I was also inconvenienced when they couldn't honor my original 4pm checkout and moved me to another room. There was a Mecca arrow on the table, which seemed odd given that people of other religions visit the country.
