Zafero beach FAMILIES ONLY

The rooms are very clean, and the location is perfect. A few rooms could use a ventilator.

This is an apartment hotel called Zafero, with studio units that have one bedroom and apartments with two bedrooms. It’s bed only, with no meals served, though outside food delivery is accepted. I’d rate it at the Egyptian local 3-star level, or 2 stars by international standards. Parking can be a problem. There are a few garages nearby, and if you’re lucky you might find free street parking. Each unit has an LCD TV with a satellite receiver for Nilesat, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a complete bathroom with a shower. Wi-Fi access points in every unit give a good, stable connection, excellent for VOIP and video calls. Amenities are available, though I’d bring your own toiletries. Cleanliness is excellent, and the place is very well maintained. The staff are friendly and service is friendly too. Prices are in the $ range, with excellent value for money.

It’s clean, well-equipped, safe, and air-conditioned, with friendly staff and reasonable prices that depend on the season. Some suites and apartments don’t have a bathroom mirror for shaving. Some rooms have a balcony with a sea view. The internet is being improved, and Wi-Fi will be added to every room gradually. Staff are open to feedback.

After they realized we weren’t married, staff asked us to leave immediately, at night. We were stranded outside with no plan. They also asked us to cancel the booking ourselves, even though the policy said we wouldn’t get any money back if we cancelled. There was no information about the marriage issue on booking, so we had no way to know in advance. Earlier, we’d been shown a room and settled in, then staff came back to say it was the wrong room. We had to pack up and move. Incredibly bad service.
