Dinner was the letdown, and the service was painfully slow for a place at this price. The staff were pleasant, but I expected much better efficiency. The rest of the property was charming, with beautiful grounds and a breathtaking view. Breakfast was excellent, and you could tell a lot of care had gone into the details.

I came for lunch with friends and really enjoyed it. Afterward, Nirvana showed us a few rooms and the beautiful grounds. You reach the place by shuttle boat, and the ride passes Philae Temple. The Spa looked lovely too. I didn’t stay overnight, but I’d come back for a spa treatment.

The staff made us feel cared for, from the servers and receptionist to the massage therapist, boat operators, and groundskeepers. Everyone was hospitable. The food was delicious: I had fish and chips, calamari, and shrimp, while my husband ordered beef with gravy and rice, and a hamburger. The food manager seemed professional and attentive to keeping the quality up. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a lovely extra. The Nubian singing group was fantastic. They got guests dancing and singing along, and we even came back from town in Aswan just to catch the dinner performance. The BenBen in Aswan was a highlight of our Egypt trip. The place is stunning, with a lovely atmosphere and touches of boho and Nubian decor. It felt almost Mediterranean, maybe even Greek. We really enjoyed having a jacuzzi on the patio balcony, and used it twice. The room was clean and comfortable, with a soft mattress and a shower head I loved. I’d return to Egypt just for the BenBen.

The service was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty standard, so I’d go elsewhere for lunch and dinner. The rooms are beautiful, and the hotel sits on boulders overlooking the Nile. Such a special place to stay.
