Tolip Aswan Hotel

Ahmed at the restaurant was especially helpful, polite and attentive, and the whole restaurant team gave excellent service. The food was great too. The reception staff were just as welcoming and arranged a late check-out for our late flight, which we really appreciated. We spent one night at the Tolip Hotel Aswan and the service made it feel special. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and very well run. Some rooms and finishes could use modern updates, which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 out of 5. With a few improvements, it could easily be a flawless five-star stay. We’d happily recommend it and would stay again.

The view from the room at sunset was phenomenal, and the food was very good. The hotel interior was spectacular, and the staff were attentive during our short but fabulous one-night stay. The rooms may be a little outdated, but everything worked. The husband-and-wife owners of the jewellery shop, Jacob and Vivian, are lovely people and experts at their craft. Thanks for a lovely stay. I’ll come again.

We spent New Year’s Eve here, and they put on a fabulous show with drinks and dinner. The buffet breakfast was amazing, the staff were very helpful, and the laundry service was good value. Great hotel!

Not being able to sleep was a huge problem. The Nile view and staff were nice, but the food and facilities weren’t exceptional or what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. If they had been very good, that might have helped, but they weren’t. Save yourself some sleep and stay somewhere else. We stayed two nights, booked through a tour company, and the rooms had no soundproofing at all. The first night we heard every car on the street and hours of loud honking. Earbuds helped us fall asleep. The next night, another hotel or cruise ship played music so loudly it felt like the speaker was in our room. I understand the noise wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but a five-star hotel should have better soundproofing.
