TOLIP Resort El Galala Majestic

Watching the sunrise here was breathtaking. I had a peaceful, wonderful stay in Ain Sokhna, with the busy city feeling far away. The hotel is right on the beach, with beautiful sea views and a relaxing atmosphere. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.

The main reason we won’t come back, or stay at any Tolip Hotel, is the food. There was almost no variety, with basically the same options every day and very little to choose from. More than once we had stomach pains after meals, and on multiple occasions some food seemed spoiled. The quality and hygiene seemed worse than what I’ve experienced from random street vendors. The rooms are spacious and have a good view, but cleaning was poor. During our 5 day stay the sheets weren’t changed at all. The wellness center only had a jacuzzi and steam, with no massages or salon. The beach and club were fine, and the pool was excellent. The shops downstairs had good prices, though the pharmacy kept telling us for 5 days in a row that the medicine we asked for would arrive tomorrow, which got annoying. The nearby telefrique is an interesting ride, but it doesn’t really go anywhere because Galala City is still inactive and feels like a ghost town. The children’s animation seemed good, but the program was exactly the same each evening.

Dinner was bad, though breakfast was better, and the extra prices for things outside the stay were too high. They limit capsule coffee to 1 per person per day, which is crazy, and left just 1 tea bag for the two of us. I wouldn’t recommend going unless you have kids. It was okay overall, but I’d look into other options first.

The location was handy for getting to important places, and breakfast had a good range of tasty options. Our room was comfortable and clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and service was excellent. I had a wonderful stay at Tolip Majestic Hotel and would definitely return. I recommend it to anyone wanting comfort and quality.
