InterContinental Cairo Citystars by IHG Hotel

Such a great experience, with a luxurious feel, a beautiful environment, and great staff and customer service. I still remember how warmly mohammed and shaimaa welcomed us. I also loved being able to mix with people from different backgrounds.

The hotel’s entrance led straight into CityStars Mall, which was handy, and I’d definitely recommend it. I spent my last night in Cairo here and had a lovely stay. The rooms were clean and attractive, with a timeless feel of luxury throughout. I had two meals in the restaurant and coffee in the lounge, and both the food and drinks were superb. Service was excellent too.

The breakfast was good at first, though eating the same dishes every morning got repetitive after day two. Location is a real plus, with the main parts of the city close by, and the helpful staff were supportive. The hotel lives up to the InterContinental name, but the property is old and seems to be waiting on upgrades, perhaps given Egypt’s economic situation. The upgraded premium rooms were better than the standard ones, though I wish the rooms in Cairo were more spacious.

The pool area was great, and the direct mall access is handy if you want to shop or just wander around. Some parts of the hotel feel dated, but the food was good and the staff were genuinely friendly, with great service. Check-in took an awful long time. They apologized at length, though, and kindly upgraded us to a nice room. Thanks as well for your response, much appreciated.
