No towels, no shower gel, no water, and no toilet tissue. The bathroom lights didn’t work, the heater was broken, and when I said it was cold, they didn’t seem to care. Breakfast took an hour of waiting, and the service was awful. One of the worst hotels of my life. Don’t book it.

After a lot of confusion and awful customer service, the hotel gave up on my reservation over some kind of maintenance issue, leaving me in Cairo to find another place for the night. Finding the lobby had already been a nightmare. The Nile Sky Suites has the worst customer service I’ve experienced in more than 25 countries, and I wouldn’t recommend booking here. The pictures show rooms, views, and a front desk, but not the hotel’s street entrance. There’s no street view in Cairo, either. In person, there were no signs or identifiable staff with a name tag, uniform, or hotel ID. The front desk is several floors above street level, reached through a small hallway and an elevator in a commercial plaza. Once I finally found it, the staff seemed just as confused about locating a room for my reservation as I was about finding the lobby.
