The tours were excellent, and watching the Nile from the sundeck was a delight. The food was very good, with plenty of variety and generous portions. Most of the staff were attentive and helpful, though the cocktail bar clearly needed more training. Making a gin and tonic shouldn't be difficult. The boat itself, though, was in appalling shape and overshadowed those good parts. We only got the cabin we paid for on the third try. Its sheets were filthy and had to be changed, and the paint touch-ups were messy, with drips and splashes on the dark wood. Paint was peeling from the shower tray, the basin leaked, and the boat looked shabby and tired, with worn carpets and signs of poor maintenance everywhere. Photos from other guests showed black mould in the shower tray and a toilet cistern that leaked constantly. The shared toilets by the restaurant were disgraceful too, with peeling paint, wet floors, and no soap or paper towels. I would hesitate to give the boat even one star and wouldn't recommend it at any price. This is the first bad review I've ever written, but this boat earned it.

About 40 of the 120 guests got sick with vomiting and diarrhea. They wouldn't bring in doctors until someone called the police, and only then did a doctor show up. My two-year-old and six-year-old were badly affected, and the illness meant we missed a lot of the rest of our trip.

It was a fun night, with good food and a lively mix of dancers and music as we cruised the Nile for two hours. The entertainment kept going the whole time, including a belly dancer. The boat is older and could use some upgrades. Would I go again? No. Was it a good time? Yes.

The entertainment program was wonderful, one of the best parts of the experience, and Hassan at reception was very helpful and cooperative. The room, though, was very dirty. There was body hair and dirt on the sheets, the bathroom wasn't clean, and we had no tissues or water bottles. When we asked for fresh sheets, they brought damp ones that smelled bad. The food was extremely poor quality and not fit to eat.

Stay away!!! Cheap specs and policies on this cruise. Safety standards are low, the staff are unprofessional, and management is unqualified.
