Dahab Bay Hotel

The staff are what made this place feel like home. Everyone was warm and attentive, and Abdo was especially kind. He arranged reasonably priced trips, checked that I was doing alright, and even lent me his snorkeling gear. The food was fresh and tasty, and having meals by the sea made them even better. The clean, comfortable rooms had what I needed, and the quiet, simple atmosphere was great for switching off. I’d seen complaints about basic furniture and slightly salty tap water, but that’s how it is around Dahab. The hotel sits right on the sea, away from the noise of the Mamsha. I loved watching the sunrise and sunset from the cafe area in front of the water. I was initially concerned about being some distance from shops and restaurants, but the 15-20 minute walk to pick things up was pleasant, and I got used to it. The location is a great base whether you’re here to dive, relax, or have an adventure. I had a wonderful, calming stay and will be back. If you want a peaceful and authentic Dahab experience with kind service, I recommend it.

The hotel is clean, friendly, and affordable, but the setting is what really stands out. There’s a mountain behind you and the sea just 15 meters in front, with the beach right there. You don’t find many places in Egypt with a view like this. Just amazing, I recommend it to British and other visitors.

The cats are lovely, and Fox the dog is beautiful. They can also help arrange excursions, so there’s plenty to do if you want some adventure or snorkeling. I loved watching the sunrise and moonrise here, and I’ll definitely come back. It’s a peaceful spot with sea and mountain views, good for relaxing or working somewhere quiet. A supermarket and ATM are nearby, too. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had lots of choice. Chef Saad put out so many tasty dishes, especially the seafood. Even with lots of guests, he served everything professionally. I’ll be craving his cooking for a while. The staff, including Ahmed, Moamen, Abo Mazen, Mohamrd Galal, Mahmoud, Salah, Walid, and everyone else, were always helpful and smiling. Owner Abdo was warm and attentive, and really made me feel at home. It was an unforgettable, comfortable stay. Highly recommend it.
