Dahab Plaza Hotel

There was no restaurant or breakfast, and the advertised pool was empty and out of service. The room was only 10 sqm, cramped like a prison cell, despite being called a 'quadruple' room. It had cockroaches, and the mattresses had stains that looked like mold. The tap water tasted foul, so I couldn’t even brush my teeth with it. The bathroom lock was on the outside and there was no handle inside, which creates a serious risk of getting trapped. The hygiene was nonexistent. This was a complete disaster and a health violation. This place should be shut down.

There were only three beds when the four of us arrived, even though we’d reserved one room for four people. The owner refused to give us a room with four beds and told us to push two beds together so three people could sleep on them. The room was dirty, with rubbish on the floor and even out on the balcony. The bathroom was in terrible shape and leaking. When we told the owner, he just said to close the water valve instead of repairing it. One of the worst places to stay in Dahab.

The rooms were outdated or not as described, and cleanliness was poor. Amenities like the AC or Wi-Fi didn’t work properly. Staff were rude, unhelpful, or indifferent, which was a common frustration.

We travelled with Lafaf Travel, but the service was poor and the trip was badly organized. I wouldn’t recommend the company.
