Oasis Fighting Kangaroo is a friendly, budget-friendly place with a social feel and a central spot near the Lighthouse. It’s a two-minute walk from the main promenade, close to the Lighthouse and Eel Garden dive sites. It’s no luxury resort, but the value is good, especially if you’re traveling solo or staying longer. There are basic, spotless rooms with shared bathrooms, as well as air-conditioned options with private balconies and garden views. The shared kitchen, lush garden, and outdoor seating make it easy to meet other travelers. The 24-hour front desk team can arrange diving, snorkeling, mountain treks, and airport transfers at fair local prices. Mohamed deserves a shoutout for being so helpful. For photos, the garden and colorful seating capture that hidden-away feel. A clean, sunlit room or private balcony could reassure budget travelers, while the kitchen or lounge shows the place’s social side.

The huts were clean, cozy, and beautifully rustic, a peaceful, comfortable spot to unwind after a day in the sun. The team at Oasis Fighting Kangaroo were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and paid close attention to us. Their sincere hospitality made the stay feel like home.

The communal kitchen and rooftop are great places to meet Egyptians and travelers from abroad. Staff were really friendly, and the price was good. Rooms are simple and basic, but very clean. If you expect more, you’re better off choosing a more expensive proper hotel. I love this place and hope to come back, Inshallah!

Right in the middle of Dahab, so the location couldn't be better. The hosts were friendly, and the room, bedding, and bathroom were all very clean. It's not an exotic five-star hotel, of course, but for the price it's really good value.

I stayed about four months ago and would give it a high rating. The team was pleasant, the price was good, and the location is central, just one row back. There’s a courtyard with a nice community feel, plus a shared kitchen and washing machine. It was clean, the services were up to scratch, and it felt a bit like home. The internet was reliable for Egypt. I recommended it to two other people, and they both came back. There are quite a few long-term guests too.
