If you spend most of your time diving or exploring and mainly need a clean bed and a great sunrise view, Seaview Hotel Dahab can be good value. The hotel sits right on the Mashraba boardwalk, and the pool-to-ocean view is one of the area's most iconic. The outdoor spaces, pool, and access to the sea are fantastic, but the rooms feel quite dated. Maintenance is the main drawback, with things like unreliable AC or aging bathroom fixtures. You're paying for the location and view, rather than modern luxury.

The view was good and the food was okay, but I left after just one day because of the bed. The bedding hadn't been changed, and I woke up with bites on my legs from bed bugs. The toilet flush and TV weren't working either.

I was charged for breakfast after sitting there for three hours, even though the cat had eaten from my plate. I've never seen a worse way to say sorry. In Shaa Allah.

My roof sea view room was noisy until 4 in the morning, full of bugs, and plainly unhygienic. The TV was out of order and the toilet flush didn't work. It felt like money for nothing.
