Charming Lagoon Villa Egyptian Style -Sabina 117

The villa is strikingly styled in an Arabic/Pharaonic look and comes with almost everything needed for a comfortable stay. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, plenty of towels, lots of plates, pots and trays, plus dishwasher pods and soap in various places. An iron and board, hairdryer, excellent internet throughout the rooms and even by the pool, and a complete BBQ set are provided too. Some upkeep needs attention. The toilet seats weren't properly clean, and there was gum stuck to the pool floor. Someone came for pool maintenance daily, but although he said he'd come twice a day, I only saw him in the mornings. The pool umbrellas are broken, which made sitting outside less comfortable. It's a well-equipped villa with thoughtful touches, but cleanliness and maintenance should improve. If the owners address those things, it could be a perfect stay in Gouna.

A really amazing villa, with lagoon views and a lagoon you can swim in. The rooms were very clean too. One of the best villas in Gouna.

The accommodation itself is fantastic, and I'd recommend the house without hesitation. Good houses are hard to find, but honesty and transparency matter just as much as good service and a friendly attitude. Non-Arabic speakers depend on reviews to understand where they'll end up. My concern is the landlady's business practices. People who don't book through Booking.com apparently end up paying extra on site, as she sells exclusive use of the pool and other things. That's inventive, but she needs to handle her business more fairly. I'm sure landlords in this region will learn quickly from mistakes like this. I'm certain there isn't a mix-up, since we have different names. We only spoke on the phone, but friends rented the house during the period in question. We know the house and decided against renting it based on what we were told by phone. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but I'm not mistaken. Google doesn't suggest reviews if you haven't visited the property, so why would I have reviewed this house otherwise? I'm certainly not bored.

The price shown on Booking.com doesn't match the amount the landlady quoted.
