Mangrove Bay Resort

The beach and views here are incredible, and the hotel was so quiet that I really appreciated the calm. I wasn't here to dive, though the place mostly attracts divers. The staff, the people working around the deck and port, and the management were all friendly and attentive. The food was basic but fine, and I didn't need more. I'd love to come back! :)

The beach is beautiful and the rooms were very clean, but several serious problems made the stay a bad experience. The food was very poor and gave us stomach problems, so bringing your own food may be best. Staff were generally friendly, but seemed unprofessional, and it was uncomfortable that nothing got done without generous tips. Management was especially difficult. We asked to cancel three days of our stay, which Booking.com’s cancellation policy clearly allowed, but they refused to cancel or refund us. They were uncooperative and unprofessional, repeatedly trying to charge extra money, which felt like an attempt to swindle us. The beach gives the place real potential, but until management is transparent, ethical, and professional, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We liked the quiet feel of this small, single-level resort. The beach was nice, and there's a dock with a ladder into the water, which made snorkeling great. Food is all-inclusive, though beer and well drinks cost extra. There's a dive center too.

The dive center on site is a nice feature if you want to explore underwater. I found this resort peaceful, with lovely views at sunrise and sunset and a really relaxing feel. The staff were friendly and helpful during my visit. There was plenty of parking, and I thought the stay was good value for the money. A great spot for a laid-back break by the sea.
