Tolip Inn Resort Fayed

The pool and playground could use some cleaning and upkeep, and we didn’t feel very drawn to use them. Still, we had a good time. Our room was clean, the staff were friendly, the beach was clean, and the gardens were well maintained. We also had good food, which we ate in the room.

Breakfast was very good, and the price was good too. The sea view was great. The beach is within walking distance. There were some rocks and algae, but not a lot, and swimming was still enjoyable if you went a little farther out.

It turned into a nice, quiet day at a clean hotel, with a small sandy beach and friendly staff at the pool bar. But getting there was frustrating. I first asked at the main security gate about using the beach, and they told me I could pay the guards there without going to reception. One guard quoted 150 LE per person plus 20 LE for parking. I drove off, then came back five minutes later and asked another guard, who said it was 75 LE per person plus the same parking fee. So suddenly it was half the price? Thanks, Tulip inn, but you should keep an eye on your security staff.

The prices are reasonable, and the location is nice. Staff were polite and the pool was good, but the beach wasn’t clean, with poor water and lots of stones. Seems suited to relaxing, especially for a day-use visit.
