Happy days pyramids inn

The pyramids look magical from here, sparkling in the bright sunshine with a real pharaonic feel.

I ended up moving out, and I’d avoid the place until the repairs are finished. There’s no lift, and the building noise went on until 1:30am. The room they moved me into was like a broom cupboard; the shower was cracked, the TV didn’t work, and the kettle they’d promised on my first day never arrived. The sink leaked on day one, but they fixed that by the next day. That part wasn’t the staff’s fault. Breakfast took 55 minutes, and when it came it was one banana, one yoghurt, one boiled egg, and a piece of bread. You might get tea if they remember. Absolutely never again.

Bugs, glass on the floor, and it wasn’t clean. There was no TV, and the food was bad. Worst place ever.

The room was spacious and very clean, with a view of the pyramids. From the roof you could watch the evening light show, though it was too cold for us to have breakfast outside. Mahamed kindly brought it to our room instead, and the aircon warmed the room well. We stayed for two nights just after Christmas with my son and brother. They arranged a smooth pickup from the bus station. My only suggestion is to add a shower curtain, since the bathroom floor stayed wet, which is more of a problem in winter than summer. Mohamed Al-Jabri was very friendly and took care of everything.
