Pyramids Oasis Hotel

The friendly staff were the only positive. The stairwell was filthy, with broken dishes and rubble scattered around, and the lift felt dangerous. We had to manually move the lock at the top before it would move. The safe in our room didn’t work, and the shower’s shampoo and soap dispensers were empty. Only half the menu was available. Demolished buildings on both sides looked awful, the balcony was half built, and the hall lights outside our room kept flickering. We moved to another hotel for our second stay.

The service really stood out. After we checked out of another hotel just hours into our Cairo holiday because it was the worst, we booked here. The staff kindly let us check in at 10 am and gave us free breakfast, even though check-in is normally after 12pm or 15pm. The reception team were exceptional, especially Muhammad. We stayed 4 nights, and it was worth each penny. The rooftop restaurant has stunning views of the Pyramids and the city. Breakfast buffet was served daily between 7am and 10 am. It wasn’t luxurious, but the prices were reasonably cheap, so we’re not complaining. Female staff cleaned the room every day, brought water, refilled the tea and coffee basket, and provided fresh towels. Bedding could be changed if you asked. The staff were lovely, polite, friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help us. Brilliant experience, and I’d recommend it for decent accommodation at a reasonable price. A couple of minor issues: the rooms need soundproofing, and management should enforce the no smoking policy in rooms. I’m allergic to smoke and smelled cigarette smoke once, though my Mrs didn’t notice anything, so maybe I’m extremely sensitive. The hotel is on the main road, and vehicle horns can be heard 24/7. Those points aside, their customer service outweighed the negatives.

The toilet, bathroom, sheets, and towels were all very dirty. Just disgusting, a terrible experience. I don’t recommend it!

The rooftop has a very nice view, so it might be fine for lunch, but I wouldn’t stay here. It’s right on the street and very noisy, while the view from lower floors is just the neighboring building. Breakfast was by far the worst: little variety, and everything seemed old. The cereal was clearly outdated, and the fruit and vegetables were very old too. Cups and dishes were dirty, so you had to search for something clean, and there wasn’t even butter. It clearly isn’t a 4-stars hotel. Just have a meal and look somewhere else to stay.
