Gawharet Al Ahram Hotel

We arrived late and used the cafeteria to get something to eat. We all scanned the QR codes on the table and looked through the menu while the staff watched us order. Only after we’d eaten did we find out those prices were old and the current ones were much higher. When we raised it, the staff acted as if we were trying to scam them. Not one apology. Why watch us order from the cheaper menu without saying anything, then refuse to own the mistake? It didn’t feel hospitable.

They kicked me out of my room when I was only 15 minutes late checking out and still packing. I’m a hijabi girl, and having a man enter my room so rudely and throw me out was unbelievable. Earlier, while I was eating in the lobby, a security guard put a plastic bag in front of me and told me to pack up my garbage. I was shocked. The people here were extremely rude and seemed focused only on money. Even a call to a friend of mine was handled in a rude, offensive way. This was not welcoming at all, and I’m very disappointed I spent any money here. The service was the worst, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The rooms are cold and dated. There’s a lot of construction nearby, which makes getting in difficult.

Terrible experience. It barely feels like a hotel, more like a hostel. The customer service and staff were awful, with no etiquette at all.
