Cleopatra Aswan Hotel

The location was great, close to malls and right beside the train station. At Celopetra Hotel the rooms were tidy and comfortable, and the food was tasty. The staff were thoughtful and helpful, especially Omnia at reception. I hope I can visit again.

I went to the bank and withdrew 4000 egp, then went down to breakfast the next morning. After that I returned to my room to shower and shave. I was traveling in a group and shared the room with a roommate, and my wallet was unattended only during that half hour at breakfast and while I was in the bathroom. In the shower, I heard someone come into and leave the room, and assumed it was my roommate. Later she said she hadn’t come back. When I counted my money, 2000 egp was missing from my wallet. I’m sure this has happened at other hotels too, but I want to warn people not to leave wallets or money unattended in the room. The Wi-Fi was awful and never worked for more than a few minutes. The area isn’t great either.

I accidentally left my scroll painting behind when I checked out, and the hotel team quickly arranged express delivery. It reached my hotel in Luxor within two days. The hotel was clean and the service was excellent. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Aswan. They respond quickly and efficiently to requests.

The rooms are basic, but the location is excellent. The staff are really friendly, and breakfast was just right.
