Battota Nubian Guest House

I came for one night and stayed four because I didn’t want to leave. Masa Nubian House ended up being the highlight of my three weeks in Egypt. They welcomed me with local hibiscus tea, then, when they found out it was my birthday, the hosts surprised me with a party. I’m still smiling about it. They also helped carry my luggage to and from the ferry. The place is spotless, the Wi-Fi was excellent throughout my stay, and the shower had really hot water with decent pressure. Breakfast was fresh and amazing each day, with a stunning view. It’s close to Aswan city but peaceful and away from the noise and chaos. I loved walking around the island, seeing the museum and school, and meeting local people, including a farmer and a musician who invited me to sit with them. Abdul arranged wonderful excursions with locals who made me feel so welcome. I even wound up dancing with them. The amenities were great, but it was the heart and soul of the place that made me want to start packing for a return trip.

A clean, peaceful and really special place, and a safe, calm spot for anyone wanting an authentic stay. The staff were kind, welcoming and incredibly professional. Abdo and Mohamed especially felt more like brothers than hosts. Thank you both for the unforgettable memories and the lovely energy here. I’d come back once, twice, a million times. The location was convenient and beautiful, and the staff made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Their service and professionalism stood out, and they took care of every detail, which made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it.

Breakfast was a lovely start to each morning, with an amazing Nile view. Abdelrahman also had good suggestions for things to do on the island and in Aswan, and checked in during my visit to make sure I had what I needed. The place is peaceful, clean and in a great spot, close to the ferry on Elephantine Island. They helped me with my luggage, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend staying at Masa Nubian House.
