The private beach has a bar, and there are a few local shops nearby to wander around. I only stayed a couple of days during a stopover, but this budget hotel had what I needed for a comfortable visit. The rooms were clean, though they could have been cleaner, and the staff were helpful, especially Mahdi and an older staff member whose name I didn’t catch. Since it was our first trip to Egypt and I’m particular about trying unfamiliar food, I suggested to Mahdi that they label each dish in the restaurant. When I asked the restaurant staff what things were, they did their best to explain.

The gym was excellent, and the hotel is near a nice beach, though the place itself is very run down. Inside, the rooms and corridors were dirty, and my bed was missing sheets. Next door there was demolition rubble mixed with garbage, with the door left open all the time. Staff were friendly but unhelpful, and nothing got fixed. Breakfast didn’t suit European tastes at all, so I didn’t feel like trying lunch or dinner.

The first time we went to the beach, on Thursday, it was really nice and clean. We returned on Saturday and I was devastated. There was watermelon on the shore and loads of plastic trash in the water. People were playing with jellyfish, and some weren’t even wearing swimsuits. You should either control who gets in or raise the ticket price so the people visiting meet the expected standards.

The staff were great and the food was okay. It’s not right on the seafront, but there’s a private beach across the road.

The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the location puts you close to the beach as well as Sheraton Road, Sherry Road, and Dahar Bazaars. It’s a good affordable choice in Hurghada. There isn’t really a sandy beach, but the beach is still nice. Food choices are limited, though what they serve is good. I’d recommend it if you want to stay near the beach without spending too much.
