Heru Pyramids View Hotel

We stayed just one night before leaving early for another hotel. The sheets had stains and the bathroom wasn't clean. Staff tried to help when we asked them to clean the room, but it didn't improve much.

The view is lovely and the place is peaceful, but dirty rooms and poor service made the stay hard. The beds are passable for a night or two, though we found dead bugs in the bathrooms and the rooms were very dirty. Staff were unfriendly and tried to sell tours at around ten times the usual price. I wouldn't book tours through them. Beyond breakfast, they charged extra for things like towels, toilet paper, coffee, tea, water, and cleaning supplies, so you have to bring your own and clean for yourself. Use Uber instead of asking them for a taxi, since they try to mislead you whenever they can.

Omir was so easygoing and knew his stuff, and went out of his way to help us. He arranged taxis for sightseeing and handled the guide and payment, so we didn't have to haggle. The rooms used to be stables, but they're nicely decorated, with linen, towels, and air conditioning. Our room looked out over the pool, and the Pyramids view was fantastic. Amazing place, we'd happily stay again.

The setting was the best part: quiet and away from the city's smog and chaos, with a wonderful pyramids view. We had a car, so getting around was easy, and it's still close to the city. Breakfast was a good Egyptian spread, and sitting by the pool or eating while looking at the pyramids was fantastic. Our room was nothing like the one we booked. I reserved a family deluxe suite but got a room with three beds, one broken, a single bedside table far from the beds, and a small wardrobe. The photos are very different from reality. Cleaning needs a lot of work, the linens smelled bad, and plenty of things were dirty, broken, or not working. There wasn't even toilet paper in the bathroom. The place really needs major maintenance.
