King Pyramids View Hotel

We went for lunch on the rooftop for the view, but it turned into a mess. The place was empty, and we were told the food would take about 40 minutes. Even the drinks took around 30 minutes, and after waiting another hour, there was still no food. Our four-year-old was crying from hunger, so we decided to leave. Then we ran into a delivery person carrying bags of our food. We didn’t want it packed like takeout. All the managers were waiting by the lift and argued that waiting two hours was no big deal and that the food came from their kitchen, not an outside order. In the end, we were forced to take the bagged food.

We booked two or three months ahead and were promised a good room with a balcony. On arrival, they said the hotel was full and put us in an unfinished room instead, with cables hanging from the walls, dirty floors, and no balcony, despite what we’d paid for. The windows were very thin, so traffic and car horns kept us awake until morning, along with the irritating lift music. The check-in was slow and full of warning signs. Everything I had arranged with the manager beforehand, apart from the tour, was a shambles. The people running the place acted helpful and said they’d move us to a better room, but after the first night they disappeared and did nothing. They seemed to have no idea what was happening, and about eight men who appeared to be staff were hanging around without knowing how to run a hotel. They took us up to the rooftop as if the pyramid view would make everything fine. We arrived late and tried dinner there too. It took an hour, came cold, and we were overcharged. The photos of reception and the rooms are fake. Awful experience, best avoided. Somehow they also hacked my booking.com account and rated themselves 10/10.

A nice place for breakfast, but skip the “restaurant” at dinner. We waited 1.5 hours before finding out they were ordering takeout from somewhere else and bringing it to us.

King Pyramid was a really nice stay. The staff were warm and kind, and always willing to help. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with lovely design and a touch of luxury for the price. Go for the King Bed if you book a room. It’s about three times the size of a regular bed, and I slept like a king!
