New Pyramid Front Hotel

Rooms were clean and modern, even though the hotel front doesn't look as modern. The staff and service were nice for a nice price, and the view was lovely. Breakfast was totally reasonable for what we paid. 100% would recommend!

Traveling with the Umroh Rehlata group, I had by far my worst hotel experience in Egypt. The hotel was completely incompetent. They seemed overbooked but kept their rooms listed on booking apps, and despite having our group list, said they 'didn't know' why there weren't enough rooms. After a grueling 10+ hour flight, all we wanted was rest. Instead, six of us had to squeeze into one tiny room, with thin mattress pads on the floor. I'd paid in full months earlier, but they acted like our confirmed booking didn't matter. They can cancel your room and tell you to find somewhere else, leaving you to sort it out after a long trip. They don't care about guests. Don't stay here; they'll ruin your vacation. You'll come back tired from sightseeing and get stressed by the terrible management. Worst service everrrrr!!

The pyramids were the only real plus, and the view of them was genuine. That alone couldn't make up for the stay. We'd booked this place for a basic budget experience: a clean room, edible breakfast, and polite, trustworthy staff. We got none of that. We reserved and paid for a twin room for three nights. We had specifically told the hotel our flight would land very early the morning after the booking began, so they wouldn't mark us as a no-show. This wasn't a request for early check-in. We had paid for the previous night and were assured we'd get in promptly. At arrival, they first asked us to sit for five minutes. After 20 minutes, we asked how much longer. They said the room wasn't quite ready. When we pressed, reception admitted a large group had arrived the night before and they had given our room away, so someone was still using it. They didn't care that we were unhappy and blamed a manager who wasn't there. They told us to eat breakfast while waiting, but the area was overcrowded with other guests whose rooms had also been given away. There was nowhere to sit, tables were dirty, and the little food was stale and minimal. After breakfast, we waited another half-hour, then were offered a double instead of our booked twin. Exhausted, we had no choice but to take it because no one knew when a twin would be free. The room was dusty and poorly maintained, with worn linen and towels. WiFi didn't work in the room and was unreliable in the shared areas. A Cairo day tour arranged by the hotel began over 40 minutes late. When the guide finally showed up, there was no apology. The only positive was the location, which we'd picked for being near the Pyramids. Everything else was dreadful. After I posted an honest review on Booking.com, the manager contacted me on WhatsApp, offered a refund, and asked how much I wanted. When I asked for the first night to be refunded because access to our paid room had been delayed unacceptably, he asked if I'd change my review. I questioned whether he was trying to buy a better review, and then all communication stopped. I've never dealt with people so dishonest, smiling to your face while outright lying.

Everything went smoothly and was well organized during our stay. Samar, Sultan and her team were supportive and helpful throughout. I'm especially grateful for their help when I had back pain. It made a big difference. Thanks to Samar and the team for their kindness and great service. We highly recommend the experience.
