The pyramids view was lovely, and the people at Royal Pyramids Inn were very kind. It’s close to the Sphinx gate, and the cleaning lady kindly checked from our second day whether we needed help with the room. Breakfast was huge every morning, and you can ask reception on the 4th floor for a hair dryer. They can also arrange a trip to saqqara, though we didn’t go this time. There’s no elevator, and the hotel has four floors, but the pyramid views make up for the climb. It isn’t especially close to Cairo or the Go Bus station, so Uber can be useful if you choose carefully. Try the yellow taxi option in the app. Getting around wasn’t always easy. Some taxi drivers wouldn’t come near the area because of the “haram” vibe. They might act like they don’t know where the hotel is and drop you far away. We also had a really bad trip from the hotel to GEM. Don’t trust tuk tuk or Uber drivers who change the price; find someone else, or walk a little and call an Uber from another street. Coming back, we walked through Cairo’s madness because no Uber driver would accept the prices shown in the app. Thank you, Royal Pyramids Inn!

Breakfast was our favorite of the whole two-week trip, with generous portions and food that was honestly delicious. Our room was clean, and we could see the small pyramid from it. Royal Pyramids Inn was our first stay in Egypt, and we’re so glad we chose it. With so many places around the pyramids, including some that turn out to be scams or much worse than their photos, we weren’t sure what to expect. Our flight delay meant we arrived at 3AM, but the host greeted us with the biggest smile and made us feel at home right away. We left really grateful and will definitely come back next time we visit the pyramids. We’d recommend it to everyone.

The location is hard to beat if you want to be near the Giza pyramids entrance, which is just a short walk away. From the terrace, the pyramid view is incredible. The lanes outside are narrow and busy with horse carts, so watch your step. There’s no elevator, though the family helped us with our bags. Hussein and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, with more than enough for two adults and our child. Our room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was surprisingly large. I’d recommend it for the location and views, especially on a budget.

The rooftop has a great view of the pyramids, and the entrance is only minutes away. KFC and Pizza Hut are nearby too. There’s no elevator, but the friendly staff will help with your luggage. For this price, it’s excellent value.

We were moved to another place in the middle of the night. A genuinely horrifying accident happened there: while my father was showering, the glass shower cabin suddenly exploded without being hit. Shards came down on him and left deep cuts on his arm and finger, and he needed stitches. The owner’s first response to this life-threatening incident wasn’t apologetic, and there was no sincere concern. Only after my father stayed calm and understanding did they start behaving more decently, seemingly because they were embarrassed. The airport transfer was another problem. When I booked, I was told transfers were available, and that information was part of why I chose the hotel. We explained this repeatedly, but they kept making excuses and didn’t provide the transfer. They eventually said it was “only valid for arrival.” This was a waste of money, and the business showed complete disregard for guests’ health and safety. Stay away. We’ll pursue all our legal rights over these incidents and keep sharing this disgraceful experience on every platform.
