Diaa, the owner, is genuinely friendly and goes out of his way to make the stay memorable. Canadian Homes is a cozy place to unwind by the pool with some music in the warm weather. The apartments come in different sizes, and ours was clean, nicely furnished, and equipped with the electrical appliances we needed. The airport, Senzo Mall, Aquarium, Hurghada Museum, and beaches are all nearby.

I spent two weeks at Canadian Homes without a single problem. The rooms were very clean, thanks to the housekeeper, and the owner treated me very nicely. The pool had been refurbished and was lovely. For me, it was a fantastic stay and I’d recommend the place for a future trip to Hurghada.

I’ve stayed here a few times, and each apartment I had was clean and properly equipped. The internet worked well, and the owner was helpful. It’s in a quiet, private part of Hurghada, which makes for a nice location.

We left very disappointed after renting the apartment for four weeks and paying a lot for it. The owner had sounded helpful when we first contacted him through Facebook, but once we arrived, the place was smaller than the photos and several lights, plugs, the air conditioning, and the shower didn’t work. We’d been told dishes and other basics would be there and that we only needed clothes and towels. There were no dishes, and we had to ask three times for blankets and pillowcases. The explanation was that it was Eid, every apartment was occupied, and other guests had taken things. He said he didn’t have time to check whether guests stole anything before leaving. We called repeatedly about the air conditioning, shower, and other problems. After three days, he blocked me. I called from my husband’s phone, and he said he had better things to do. When I said that wasn’t customer friendly, he said he gets nervous quickly. I admit I got loud and may have lost my temper, but I didn’t want to be treated unfairly. He was rude, hung up, and refused to speak to me. The location is okay if you like a very quiet area, but there are no shops nearby, so you need a car or a taxi app like Uber to get around. The music by the pool is too loud. The pool can only be used until the afternoon because the cleaner vacuums it and adds chlorine, usually around 16:30 when we were there. That was sad, especially in summer. When we decided to move elsewhere, the owner became friendlier. He wasn’t there when we handed over the keys, saying he was very busy, and his employee returned only 200 LE less than our payment, without having discussed a cleaning deduction. Staff said it was for housekeeping. We’d had to clean when we moved in because the apartment was dusty and not clean enough for us, though it wasn’t filthy. We knew we’d need to clean ourselves and we’re very clean, and we left it clean too. It upset us that money was taken without even telling us. We paid a deposit and the rest when we collected the key, but despite asking, we never received a contract. He said it would come that evening. It never did, and we’re still waiting for that evening. He knows how to make money, I’ll give him that. He often emphasized that he’d lived in Canada a long time and doesn’t like Egypt. The place didn’t live up to what we expected, and we were personally very disappointed.
