It depends on what you're after. You won't get five-star all-inclusive service, that's true, but I didn't find anything bad to say about the area and enjoyed my stay. It's quiet and clean, the seaside is close, the beach is free, and the kite stations are pretty decent. The staff are polite, although their English is very basic. The pool is usually clean, and I saw some recent renovation work that didn't bother me much as a tourist. The area may not be the fanciest, but I think it's worth the price. I might be wrong, but some of the bad reviews seem fake or deliberately made. I'd definitely recommend it.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It was the worst place I've ever been. It is safe and different and does not know the meaning of tourism. I don't recommend it at all.

I wasn't pleased with my experience dealing with the compound's management. Some staff acted unprofessionally toward residents, and I felt there was little respect for privacy. I'd advise anyone considering getting involved to be careful and make sure things are transparent.

Before renting or buying, speak with people who live there now and check the basement. The complex's sewer and drainage systems can cause strong, unpleasant smells. Management and landlords often brush this off, and the odor is usually concealed during visits, so you may only notice it after moving in.
