The Jaz hotel I stayed at looked very nice, though my room felt old and wasn't well maintained. The surrounding area is neatly organized, with a huge stretch occupied by resorts. The beach, though, is cramped and only about 20-30 m wide, and you won't get much sun there after 2-3 pm. It could work well if you plan to spend most of your time at the hotel instead of on the beach.

Makadi Bay has white sand beaches, clear water, and a striking setting between the desert and a mountain range, around 30 kilometers south of Hurghada on the Red Sea Riviera. Its coral reefs and variety of sea life make it a good place to snorkel or dive, whether you're new to it or experienced. There's plenty to do away from the water too: boat trips to Paradise Island, ATV quad bike safaris, camel rides along the beach, and day trips to Luxor or the ancient Monasteries of St. Anthony and St. Paul. In the evenings, bars and restaurants offer live music and food. It's a lovely mix of relaxing by the beach, exploring, and enjoying the natural scenery, with options for a quiet day or a night out.

September weather here was lush, a welcome change from the cold, damp UK. We had a lovely week in Makadi bay, with really good food, spotless surroundings, and amazing staff. Don't miss the poolside "special" cocktails, you won't be disappointed.

The room was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The grounds were well maintained, and the hotel was clean and pleasant. Service from both the staff and management team was second to none. Not every dish suited my taste, but there was such a wide choice that I could always find something instead.

I really enjoyed my stay at JAZ AQUA VIVA. The rooms were nice, the pools were large, and access to the aqua park was free. There was a great buffet with all kinds of cuisine. A shuttle ran to the sea every 30 minutes, and there was a free snack bar on the beach.
