Marina Hostel

The breakfast changes every day, which is a nice touch. It would be good if they could expand the place and add a few more common rooms. This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in, with friendly, helpful staff, good beds, nice rooms, and everything clean. I always enjoyed chatting with the staff.

We booked a private room for four nights, then extended our stay and moved into a dorm. Both worked out great, and the location was handy. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The people here made the place for us. The women who prepare breakfast each day are absolute angels, and everyone else was warm and helpful, whether we needed to arrange an excursion or wanted local tips. I’d happily stay here a hundred more times.

The staff are what make this hostel special. They’re around day and night to help with travel plans, SIM cards, diving, and pretty much anything else. Matthew and Araby were especially kind. It has a real family feel, and the breakfasts are superb. The place is spotless, with great internet throughout. A suggestion: post the trip details and itineraries somewhere public in the hostel. The desert quad bike outing, for example, takes a long time, and it was really freezing by evening. I was cold and hungry. From the street, the hostel isn’t easy to spot, though most locals seem to know it. There’s a flight of stairs to the communal areas, which aren’t very large, and nearly all the bedrooms face busy main roads. Still, the staff are exceptional. Keep up the good work!

Every night at 7, everyone gets together for dinner with the sister hostel, bedcoin. Matthew and Marina were so friendly and helpful, and mahmood made sure people felt included. He also took us to some lovely restaurants and bars. I met lots of people who ended up extending their stay. Such an amazing hostel!
